I'm generally against purges but in the case of US humanities I just don't think there's much left to save I genuinely blame the left for destroying those fields and I resent it deeply Please believe me when I say that I love the Idea of a University in the Newmanesque sense,

I just think it would be the most massive of failures, both strategically and politically if we let everything collapse. Half the reason I’m on Biden’s train is becuase of the commitment to reform and refund this shit. $300 billion apparently as of yesterday,

if "refund" means "claw back tuition from endowments to pay back students who took out hundreds of thousands to study the humanities" fine otherwise naw I would prefer not pouring 300B into our institutions that mostly exist to send youth into eternal debt slavery

I want people to be healthy and happy and loved and for most people wasting a decade of their life and obscene amounts of money public or private is inimical to this end
