talk about things that irritate you lovingly but as soon as possible after you notice them otherwise they will keep irritating you and accumulating and one day you will blow up out of nowhere and your bf will have no idea what happened and everyone will be sad

good advice maybe a convo in advance about how you both prefer to hear about things that irritate the other person and about how it's an inevitability of learning to share a space, not a personal attack on their character -- sets u up to start from an assumption of good faith

talk about cleanliness expectations (how long can you tolerate seeing a sink full of dishes? Etc)

if you do get feedback that you've been irritating them, be real about how much effort you can put into accommodating them (for ex: "babe I'm just never going to care that much about sweeping but I'll do chore X instead")

this tweet sponsored by me noticing this morning that selene had left me the bread ear in the bread bag like wed talked about but she hadnt left the next slice in after it and so I had to match the bread ear with a bigger slice and they didnt overlap neatly and it was really sad
