that tweet led me to believe she has both more power than I thought she had before (well she was a nonentity but) and less power than she thinks she has leaders are often constrained in ways not apparent to others, and these constraints they rarely advertise

@ezraklein might be more recognizable but realistically, what part of the Vox traffic knows/cares about individual journalists? It's not like Vox audience would follow after him1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
I'm not sure she does have that power. No idea what the contracts are like, but not unimaginable to me that firing Matt would be infeasible for several potential reasons
