Right. You can recognize that comparing what China's doing to credit scores in the US is nuts while still giving the Ban The Box people a fairer shake

The thing is I also am leaning toward anti ban the box, not because I object to the desired ends nor on principle but because empirically it seems to produce results that hurt the populations its trying to help Everything is very difficult :/

Yup, especially when I believe there's data (which I heard about years ago and don't have time to find, so ymmv) that says that attempts to ban the box end up with broader discriminatory hiring against Black people
