I really like the economist. They take a global perspective, focus on analysis, and aren’t sensational. Along with the WSJ, they’re the two papers I’m willing to pay for. I’d probably pick up FT too if I felt like I needed more news (but I really don’t :)
Endorsement for WSJ from me. BBC, RT, and Al Jazeera when I want to hear what the state-run media in other nations say.
FT and WSJ are both for the financial sector, and Reuters has been doing more finance stuff lately as well. They're pretty much the only people that are still interested in actual news, I think.
