Thank goodness I removed the online pictures of my drag role in high school theater before going to college.

The idea that trans women are doing “womenface” has been a big argument of terfs in britain (& has been opposed by lgbt groups) + I have seen some trans people objecting to drag, but mostly for reasons other than it potentially trivializing trans people (specific cultural stuff)
-
Broadly there is a belief among some people (terfs + some chan kinda people) that trans stuff in some way invalidates gender non conforming people I mostly disagree except with certain minor excesses

I've a half-formed suspicion the transition from drag being a subversive practice for a specific niche to a broadly accepted, anodyne practice--see, library story hours--is gonna fall apart, and as Shoddy suggests, I kinda think it won't be from conservative pushback.
