stray thought certain behaviors are acceptable (in some sense) when an agent is weak that are not acceptable when an agent is strong convincing yourself that you are weak may be a trick to give yourself permission to act badly

It's still a terrible mind state and something to move through as one is able. Terrible things have been done to me. I did not much identify as a victim although of course I was one. It was simulataneously true, and unhelpful.

there's this persistent idea that to free yourself you have to ignore the victim framework entirely or to make something "beautiful" out of your own pain those can help, but I'd argue to properly process what happened you need to acknowledge what happened and work thru it
