My rough first take: This sort of maximalism about moralizing in more traditional societies is funny. It's is a sort of noble lie that can produce some beautiful results but is also kind of a bitch to uphold and alienates a lot of people.

Hahaha I think I'm making a different claim than "liberalism is the right political order" though. It's more like "liberalism is the right mental lens for me to use to process the world". Idk, do you notice any agree-dependency in that belief?

It's like I want to free ride on others' conservatism because it'll enforce the norms that will make behavior legible and predictable but I won't have to pollute my mind with the enforcing myself
