If it were authentically European, it would be fucked-up and gov't-dominated and still 10x better than Huawei. But it won't be, it'll be Huawei entryism.

It's a vision document by some hip Germans who sell walking around with automatic following suitcases and other gadgets as future consultancy.pic.twitter.com/WGwWuZP2Hk

So, vaporware at the strategic level. IBM was doing this 40 years ago.

They know how to format these documents, the requesting party lacks the ability to judge the content. That's a niche, and seems to be a very effective pattern to become successful in the EU. It's an effective cargo cult.pic.twitter.com/33fCMszh9b

When you own the people who define the process that determines appropriate formatting and judge what satisfies its requirements, you win.

FWIW I don't think "cargo cult" is right here - the Chinese understand the entire process thoroughly. Arguably the people they're snowing (European regulators) have a cargo-cult approach.

Maybe, the term makes sense to me here: they show off their exotics (ie. self driving luggage) to display their futurism. Throw in some stuff like 'DNA personalisation (wtf?)' and add some 'seamless commerce'. Borrow something from China like that firewall.

They really have no clue what they're on about, but the beauty of their grift is the immediate recommendation to hire them continually to update on what they don't yet understand:pic.twitter.com/Z9exa4cpEi

If in fact the European functionaries recognize this is bullshit, it'll go nowhere anyway.
