I went to three high schools and my senior year was at the self advertized "most diverse school in the nation" (some Nat Geo article a few years back). We thought it would be a good fit because Department of Defense schools overseas are very diverse and everyone gets along well.

If the intent is to get a bunch of teenagers completely unfamiliar with the history of Western thought to think it's all bunk, then sure. I suspect the resulting worldview is the kind that tears down statues of people the understand. Maybe this is just my own very emotional bias.

Teaching intellectual humility is more important at that age than whatever the hell the teacher was trying to do.
