good, nontechnical primer on IPD and TFT has me wondering . . .https://twitter.com/kwamurai/status/1275971751747432448 …

Everyone's familiar with the Prisoner's Dilemma. You and a friend are arrested. If both stay silent, you'll get short sentences. If one of you confesses, that person can reduce their sentence even further at their friend's expense. If both confess, you both get long sentences. https://twitter.com/FullyHelotized/status/1275374390432030720 … pic.twitter.com/3HgNjBhr1U

suppose you had a similar tournament, but with one special entrant: the limited omniscience agent (LOA) that knows with certainty what its opponent will play in advance each round (but not the next) and its strategy and plays optimally in response Does LOA outperform TFT?

At some level I knew that was badly worded >< Slightly more formally, in stage game T, LOA knows with certainty (even if opponent is playing a mixed strategy) what option the opponent will choose in T. They also know what strategy they're facing.

They do /not/ know about T+1, but may be able to infer it (conditional on their action in T) from their knowledge of the opponent's strategy.

Do you mean a situation where one player always sees the move made by the other player before making his own or do you mean something more? The former seems easy to implement.

The former, plus they know the opponent's strategy
