You may be smarter than the person interviewing you You may think you know more about the subject Doesn't make any fucking difference. You start talking and you are toast if that's what the narrative the reporter has decided on in advance demands.

The reporter's job is to write a story that will get clicks and all they want from you are quotes for flavor that confirm their story anyway. You will have absolutely no control over the narrative. Do not delude yourself: they do this for a living and they know their craft.

If you are defending yourself against criminal charges, hire an attorney and do what they tell you. If you want to get your Story out, hire a PR firm and do what they tell you. Otherwise please I am begging you shut up because you are in grave peril.
