It’s imo the reason for why American lefties hate Biden so strongly. They don’t want to take responsibility, instead they’d rather concern themselves with esthetics, purity of thought and moral self-righteousness

Maybe it's not so much fail as not fully succeed. They don't need to defund the police, having the political wing win the concessions to have another Ferguson effect is enough. Then in a few more (timeline) they can do it all again, contently moving the marker their way.

The beautiful/horrific essence of their movement is that it can never end. There's always a new injustice, always a new "privilege" to shake up the victim hierarchy. Since the underlying issue is that humans can't create utopia they never have to worry about solving it.

I think this is true for a lot of political fringes.
