7. this is probably going to be really bad for Minneapolis the Twin Cities are quite geographically spread out and while some neighborhoods (eg Northeast) have gentrified a lot I remember the state of things in the 90s and in those years much of Minneapolis was a wasteland

the suburbs are extremely nice, housing and schools are cheap and good, and its easy to move out and it seems like property damage is much more prevalent here than in the 2015ish BLM protests ---> capital flight?

8. Hunch is Somalis are disproportionately affected by covid lockdowns. Many in service jobs; many driving cabs/Uber/etc; many with plenty of kids. And not sure exactly of current distribution but many riots weren't too far from Riverside Plaza aka Little Mogadishu
