Idk man, I'm torn on this one. Less-lethal weapons are not compliance tools. On the other hand, enforcement of any law ultimately requires the possibility of police escalation.

Presumably, society would not function with a *total* absence of law. Thus, the question we're dealing with is: "Under what circumstances, and by which process, do we permit escalation to lethal force?" Not "should we just get rid of laws?"
