K so one thing about dropping the SAT requirements is that presumably anyone who does well on it will submit their scores anyway, right?

It is not clear to me that this is a strong signal of disregarding expected performance? In that direction, sure, but I don’t know if it’s strong.

private guess is they lean toward selecting for expected revenue even more significantly possibly some social justice thing where they want more cover for quotas not having test scores published to provide clarity in whether either obtains is a second benefit

“Maybe” seems way too weak. I assume kids that get remotely decent advice, either from college counselors, the internet, or whatever, will quickly learn the “submit your scores if they are above this score” score and behave accordingly.
