I dont have thoughts other than that angle with zero inside information my hunch is most of what these firms did from 2014-2019 was driven by a wish to avoid bad press and attacks from a culturally ascendant left rather than True Belief

i think that preference cascade is probably stalling out, and may invert soon these firms might try to adapt and flow with it but theyll make other enemies if they do theres really no way for them to win politically speaking
