anyway his death was also fun he was tubercular while he acted in his final play "The Imaginary Invalid" he suffered an ironic hemorrhage onstage and died the church refused to bury him on hallowed ground and that, son, is why i am not paying for your theater major

updates after further investigation 1. i legitimately feel bad for him, and his wife did after his death recklessly beg Louis XIV to pull some strings and at least got him buried in the graveyard section that housed unbaptized infants (still somewhat mad at her)

2. all of this fun at his expense WAS entirely unjustified as he wrote several plays absolutely savaging doctors which i mean come on im a sucker for this
