TIL if your sedentary for three months maybe going on about a short walk once a month, deciding to go on a run just in case your cardio system is collapsing will be much less successful than its been in the past when you were walking a few miles daily and hitting legs 2-3x weekly

I've been running 2-3 times a week, and even then, my knees are clearly displeased with my not walking much 1/2 the days.

My IT bands are like this whenever I go a month or so without running; I find that the combo of stationary bike for actual exercise followed by a nice long cool down walk three or four times in a 10 day period gets everything in enough order to start running again

Thought this was the case for me until I bought new running shoes. Didn't realize that they make such an immense difference.

THINK it's not the shoes I'm maybe 150 miles into this pair unless they go bad over time?
