They should have used the already existing gender neutral slang for that situation: "side" as in "side boy" "side girl" or "side lover"

I always thought mistress was a merging of miss and 'trice' to allude to the short romatic meetings. Turns out its just the fem gendered variation of master? When did "mistress" stop being "is the mistress of the house available?" I watch too many old movies.

My wife, daughter, and I, after using the word Ms. for a long time have gone back to using the terms Miss and Mrs. All the words that have been banned by Fascist-feminists will be used again by all as soon as they are put on the trash heap of history, excuse me, "cancelled."
