I'm curious--if you're in your 40s or older and willing to share on any of these: Roughly (opsec) how old are you now? What do you wish you had done differently in your mid 30s? What do you wish you had known then? What's been the biggest change in your life or outlook since?

1. Early 40s 2. I wasn't a great husband then. Not ... bad, exactly. But with the benefit of hindsight, not what I should have been. Also (possibly related!) I'd like to have had one more child. We have plenty, but one more is always nice.

3. I spent enormous amounts of stress on things that in retrospect weren't that important. And I think that lack of importance was foreseeable if I'd paid closer attention.

4. In life: I'm spending much more time with family vs work. In outlook: honestly a little pessimistic, like my best days might be behind me. Maybe a midlife thing and it will turn around, or maybe it's just accurate :)
