N95 are the stock masks for blue collar guys in dusty environments and have been forever but suddenly you need a PHD to operate one.https://twitter.com/DempMcgee/status/1246463930664390663 …

Dust isn't a virus. Also, construction n95s have only been approved for medical use because of the severe shortage of masks. They're otherwise not considered acceptable for that application.

FDA isn't a God, and you need to keep your own head on your shoulders. The reason regular N95 aren't approved for medical use is because they have no "resistance... to penetration by synthetic blood." This is completely irrelevant to antiviral use.pic.twitter.com/k8Pl4vAXeH

Doesn't seem irrelevant to intubation at all

The context of the original tweet was why *regular people* who are not doctors are told not to use mask. We are not talking about medical professionals who are intubating patients. Read before you tweet.

The tweet you're replying to is about medical use, is it not And also: acceptable exposure to construction dust is orders of magnitude larger than acceptable exposure to virus. N95s really are hard to fit properly! But even a poorly fit mask is still far better than no mask

Careful, you'll be accused of being a useful idiot for the lying medical establishment that doesn't want people to think they're fully protecting themselves by wearing an improperly fitted n95 mask.
