have you privately/personally experienced a month in your life that was longer than March 2020? I'd love to hear all about it. illness or loss of a loved one? divorce? depression?

I agree... I think time dilation is super subjective. I *do* think that they key element is immersion. Like eigen mentioned, good times are often ones we're super present for, immersed in. Same for bad times, too since we often cannot extract ourselves from the realities of them.

In my experience, childhood dilation is very different than good times dilation. good times for me tend to be distinct. getting married, playing live music, those moments *sparkle*, but happy childhood dilation was very different than that...

Weekend in jail was probably longer than this entire month tho. Jail: it's incredibly boring

February 2011 I was on mission in Iraq for 22 days. Roads kept being shut down, so we spent multiple days at a time in the same location in itinerant housing (usually tents with cots).

time stretches out as a kid for other reasons too: - Less ability to entertain/distract yourself - An hour is a much bigger % of your life when you're young
