could be a lot of things, there's a lot of weird stuff going on in the relationship between muscle tension and emotional / trauma stuff which has been a big deal for me at least; a lot of motions feel weird for me b/c they involve muscles i hold chronically tense

interesting if I'd tried to predict where emotional stuff might reside in my body I would suspect upper back, arms, shoulders, neck and I do get tension there, but the tension patterns are familiar territory I might be mildly disassociated from my lower body ^^'

the first step for me is always numbness in a body part, i won't be able to feel anything there at all; then once it opens up or relaxes i can finally notice all the tension that's there there's a ton of crazy stuff that can be in the lower body, e.g. sexual stuff in the pelvis

One crazy thing I found out in yoga was that a feeling of "wow this pose is unbearably exhausting LET ME OUT" was literally a specific physiological strain in the groin (I think maybe hip adductors).

yeah the hip adductors are particularly excruciating sometimes I *think* I know how to relax that to get it from "ow this is Bad" to "this is hard in a good way" most of my LET ME OUT feeling is *googles hip anatomy* right between the pelvis and the top of the femur

I wish
@RobertGWellness' teaching was a bit more widely known. This sounds exactly like the kind of thing he's good at fixing, but he's thousands of miles away (average guess, based on no info about where you are). Robert, have you got a Youtube video for hip adductors?1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -
