One theory I kind of buy is that talking physically near people is a big risk factor. If you're not coughing, talking is probably the main way you spray droplets. Japan has strong "be quiet on subways" norm. If this is right, a choir is basically the pessimal case.

Counterpoint: If it spreads that fast, either it's not as deadly as feared or the crazy superspreaders were doing pretty much all of the work. And if the latter, we just don't restart the NBA and go back to our normal lives. With masks on.
