By the numbers, there are way more housing units in America than are actually needed to house the population. So *on average,* it'll be the sudden giant influx of supply, I bet. It will probably vary widely by region.

Finding it hard to summon sympathy for those folks, tbh. The stimulating effect of rents dropping all over urban centers would more than make up for the economic damage done to a few thousand AirBnB superhosts.
