Dumb question Can we mass synthesize isolated covid antigens and just inject them I assume there is a good reason we are not doing this

You can't just synthesize antibodies on any old printer. You need to engineer another organism to do it for you, at scale. This is why even normal vaccines take a long time to make and distribute

Yeah I was thinking of cloning it into something with a promoter although there were claims about this failing bc post-transcription processing differences
