To clarify I am FOR gouging, I understand the depletion issue and the way higher price protects it, I just am not sure what dude did is the same as gouging, he depleted a local resource to offer non-locally

But what happens when people who have insulin can’t afford higher prices and/or people who want to keep their meat frozen can afford higher prices? People who need ice for insulin might value it more than others but that won’t always translate to more $

Probably not worth getting into, but I would rather live in a country that knew how many diabetics there were and had a strategic supply of ice machines to serve that population in times of disaster than rely on the price as a rationing mechanism.
