Yeah pneumonia --> ARDS is the deathcon with COVID. Personally I think that's an unnecessary precaution in younger people but if you have older family members living near you and you're in a high risk area then that could make it worth it.

If you could get your hands on antiretrovirals somehow (prescribed to people with HIV) that's probably more useful. I've read some literature that correlates starting Retrovir with improvement in symptoms of COVID-19 patients but nothing solid yet.

The mechanism of action in fighting COVID-19 might not be related to the antiretroviral's primary mechanism of action in HIV patients. But also, the correlation could simply be people improving on their own after taking it, I don't think they have a large sample size.
