Yeah pneumonia --> ARDS is the deathcon with COVID. Personally I think that's an unnecessary precaution in younger people but if you have older family members living near you and you're in a high risk area then that could make it worth it.

If you could get your hands on antiretrovirals somehow (prescribed to people with HIV) that's probably more useful. I've read some literature that correlates starting Retrovir with improvement in symptoms of COVID-19 patients but nothing solid yet.

kind of interesting that antiretrovirals would work for ssRNA viruses innit?
probably going to pick up some antiretrovirals regardless but do wonder about the mechanism1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -

The mechanism of action in fighting COVID-19 might not be related to the antiretroviral's primary mechanism of action in HIV patients. But also, the correlation could simply be people improving on their own after taking it, I don't think they have a large sample size.

Nice! Also I forgot to mention that you'll need a pulse oximeter if you end up buying a concentrator, that way you can titrate to the proper O2 level. And if you're getting one you might as well aim for at least 10L with high flow tubing and cannula + non-rebreather mask.

My wife and I are not going as far as buying one however we don't live anywhere near our family, are both healthy and young, and there are very few cases near us.
