Some people called me an idiot or a hater after the last couple of Bernie-Corona tweets, 0.5/2 of which were meant seriously. This is excellent and according to plan.

I had just a few hundred followers as recently as October, now I've flown past the 2k mark and I'm starting to see on the horizon the territory where your replies get swamped by dumb nastiness. So I need to find a way to curate my followers, for the sake of my followers.

I personally don't get worked up by online hate. I got my first Twitter death threat a month ago and I'm seeing it as a badge of honor. So I don't really want to start blocking people, and I don't feel like I have a good sense of what deserves blocking.

What I'll do is write more tweets that make people unfollow me. Fewer caveats and epistemic statuses. More posts where it's impossible to tell if I'm joking or serious. Less defending my stances. If you're not sure how to engage:https://twitter.com/yashkaf/status/1206065898299240448 …

I am skeptical of this strategy. You're going to increase follower quality by increasing tweet provocativeness? My prior is that provocativeness causes lower follower quality
