two weeks later, considering telling them I'm not going to talk about this further unless they get an attorney I don't think it matters what anyone says theyre just going to do whatever they land on spinning some incomprehensible random number generator

how do you convince someone who is ten years older than you are, with some kind of neurodivergence, that they are being an absolute fucking idiot and need to stop doing what theyre apparently set on doing I dont see this happening I guess I dont need to watch it happen

sent him a long text so that he couldn't interrupt midsentence and then talked on the phone with him for an hour last night and eventually, miraculously, he promised to talk to some attorneys today that's interesting need to use my words more often

I conjecture that it was probably not ultimately the specific words but the time spent and the conviction displayed that swayed him, as people are not often swayed from positions they did not reason themselves into with words.

Yeah I think that's mostly correct My family has a pretty . . . not terse way of communicating, exactly, but pretty sparing Not a lot of attempts to bulldoze people into doing anything Think that works well for most things but maybe not so much in this case
