Best to strategize Figure out what kind of role you can transition to and start building skills for it, recommend looking at job listings And then interview for them when you feel ready Easier to do while still in school imo

I'm currently a postdoc ;) well I think the most viable path would be to go for data science, I have some skills somewhat related to this... Hard to learn new things at the same time with work and life :(

Yeah :( Fortunately industry is legit lousy with erstwhile academics doing DS and you'll be in good company Happy to chat later about teching up but having a PhD will help
