looking back to the last local elections with hindsight is hilarious both sides of the political spectrum are always utterly convinced that as soon the other is in power they will seize it and it'll be the end of democracy and a descent into authoritarianism

most of the actual power is wielded by the legislative, which has a very high reelection rate and no term limits we've all been seeing the same deputees and senators our whole life, there's a reason for that

the executive is much more visible to the public - which is by design, as it is meant mostly to act as a smokescreen and make people blame shit on whoever is the current president instead of looking at the actual dynamics of government
