O-chem is a weeder course for a reason. It's a different kind of thinking than most people are used to, and if your prof cares one whit about your future success, he makes it as hard as necessary. Pre-med are the absolute worst students. His spidey sense should have tingled.

Seems most coursework is either memorization or analytical (math courses in particular). O-chem's in this rough spot where you have to memorize a lot of facts about molecular behavior *and* synthesize what you know... The perfect course to find out if someone should be a doctor.
