it’s more like the difference between a marathon runner and a sprinter. being good at one doesn’t necessarily imply being good at the other. also the dependence on rapidly processing new info means that IQ tests are worthless if conducted in anything besides your native language

this is why IQ results from Africa consistently trail behind Europe. The issue isn’t that they aren’t smart, the issue is that most of the time they’re forced to take the test in their second or third language. even if you are highly intelligent your response speed will suffer
