Most tribes in the US had no use for horses and ate them. The 'horse tribes' are a handful of groups on the high plains and even that wasn't the majority population for the region. Just the *low* estimates for the population for the city of Etzanoa was 20,000 people.

Nearly a third of London died from not realizing they couldn't drink from a river they'd turned into an open sewer. Nearly a third of Europe died from not realizing killing black cats made the plague worse. Best not throw around disease outbreaks as an example of 'superiority'.
