I'd avoid Google and Facebook, but the other three are probably more-or-less fine. By reputation Amazon can be a punishing workaholic culture but seems much less politically dysfunctional than Google or Facebook. Apple and Netflix probably relatively normal workplaces.

where am I off? my knowledge of Amazon, Netflix, and Apple are limited. Have some firsthand and lots of secondhand knowledge of Google and Facebook though.

the main thing is that there's a lot of variation across teams at each of those companies in terms of QOL and politics, just a ton of variation
also across job classes
overall hunch is Politics is steeply on the decline from wherever it started, too1 reply 0 retweets 14 likes -
Amazon’s political-ness depends on the role but the workaholic-ness is real Most of my friends who still work there discuss it terms of enduring it But they are VERY well compensated for their effort
