They want to Fight, but they're social, so the only way to express that is to Fight Evil. So they Fight what they can justify socially as Evil, and don't sweat if it's True Evil.

i and v mostly. Fighting Evil is closer to fighting fear by crushing uncertainty. It’s why many fantasies are based around warring against “obviously” The Bad Guys. It’s why blasphemy is a mortal sin. Can’t go around stealing certainty from people.
