wtf. just learned that aforementioned boss asks HR lady what time, exactly, I get into the office every morning I do not in any way have a chronic tardiness problem I have very few meetings and my work does not require availability for customers etc

I don't understand why I did slip up but I've done really good work otherwise, my other boss is thrilled with the fact that I came to them with a plan to get caught up+turned it around fast, and they would actually be fairly screwed if they fired me before the end of Q1

also worth noting no one in tech asks for references and soet of expect that may be more and more the new norm generally I haven't had to deal with references since grad school
