Wait, why would you not have a bed frame when buying a bed frame gives you under-bed storage space? It solidly triplies the capacity of the average bedroom and it's like $40 for a metal one.

one I thought this but now I have a small futon on tatami and it actually leaves more room for stuff because you don't have to leave a bunch of space to walk around

futons are the exception here. futon frames are terrible and much worse than futon-on-floor. spring mattresses are supposed to have frames (and box springs!). spring mattress on the floor is bad.

Who even buys spring mattresses anymore? My guest bed is a gel mattress on a slat frame

i love how someone was pointing out "mold growth" and i was like, "that's why it's usually not an issue in japan (an if it is then it's a matter of house hygiene)—where everything gets aired out and packed away every day and the floors are made for sitting/sleeping." *sigh*

Hm. I built my own bed frame from solid beech wood and I have curtains I sewed shorter. Didn't need a woman to fix this tho. What the fuck.pic.twitter.com/vJqnMKx4LD
