Depends. Ballet, gymnastics yes. Other dances: it usually starts in teenage years, being dismissed by a girl for not being able to dance. Some years later, suddenly world champion or something. I also noticed that a lot of successful dancers aren't actually good at dancing.

They just memorized everything and are able to execute flawlessly. Naturally good dancers don't need ballet, they obviously started in the womb and only stop when sleeping.

Well, to determine these things I think we need an objective measure: I propose "kicks everyone else's ass in the name of America." So at least women are flat out better at soccer and gymnastics.

it really depends, variance by company and a lot of other factors but because of the ratio stuff a lot of men get more coaching and nurturing while women in dance get more, drilled into conformity
