Let's do a third round. Same thing, but for Down syndrome. Hypothetical treatment detects presence or absence of trisomy-21 and either removes it or generates it in autosomes. No chance of side effects; no risks.

idk i think kindness isn't always a virtue, might even be at odds with loyalty and honesty. their value is circumstantial and the paths to them are various. otoh hotness is a more consistent thing and has more stable value

as for the virtues—kindness can make you exploitable, loyalty can turn you against those farther from you, and honesty can hurt. they need to be leavened with firmness, sympathy and fairness, and knowing when and how to fudge the truth
