I'm skeptical that it's at all popular among scientists apart from physicists and physicist adjacent folks. Most scientists don't think that deeply about philosophy of science.

Certainly possible that, in practice, their thinking about the nature of proof and whatnot is compatible with this type of philosophical view. But I doubt that many would say they're not interested in finding 'truth.'

I’m not so sure, I’ve heard a lot of people express something more like empirical adequacy. A desire to use reliable methods to produce results and theories and fit the observations. Other things are at least secondary concerns
