Logistics factors contribute to scarcity, but as soon as something becomes so plentiful that it is essentially no longer scarce (rice comes to mind- cheap, cheap cheap!) other things that used to be so scarce there was low demand for become available and in more demand (meat).

What about art, how scarce is good art? Scarcity is a tricky thing to nail down. Logistics is a big part of it for sure but there's a lot that goes into it.

We basically solved scarcity on art with reproductive printing and screens. True, there's only one Starry Night, but anyone can view it.
