Absolute mensch too Came over from I think Vietnam, opened his shop with a loan to earn money for his family he's been just tailoring in his tiny shop since the mid-80s Every time I come by, he's just sitting at his old machine listening to jazz and stitching

I don’t dress well enough to have anything tailored, but his little storefront makes me so happy. I pass it on my walk home from work and I love seeing him in that densely packed workspace.

Not to sound anti-progress, but redeveloped neighborhoods full of investor-owned restaurants that will turn over in a few years just feel like upscale strip malls.
