on one hand obviously not all things that are traumatic are Traumatic but the reason for the semantic creep may be that in fact it's a p useful metaphor eg, this piece (which yes is 8x as long as it needs to be and almost Friedmanesque in its metaphors) https://www.ribbonfarm.com/2018/03/29/the-key-to-act-two/ …

I think there's a common thread perhaps Trauma: an external event that forces you to become a different person? I assume there is a hormetic dose. Hm.
