I think going forward when people are rude to me or to others instead of escalating to a newer, funnier form of rudeness in return I'm just going to point out that they're being rude this seems more powerful tbh and better, more dignified

I think manners, and diction more broadly, signals a lot more about class than we acknowledge. And at some point, the popular culture started valuing the authenticity of the "lower class" more than the prestige of the upper class
