This is clever argument. On one hand, of course it's true that if you're governed by liberal democratic institutions, armed disobedience is not acceptable, it is illiberal. The other, the issue of guns is written into the Constitution. If they want it, change it. That's Liberal

Honestly, what drives me nuts about this article is that he's making an argument he'd never find acceptable in any other context; no way we could get rid of birthright citizenship, say, regardless of the majority we could muster in support, because that's an inviolate right!
