Is it the norm to not teach economic history at the undergrad level? Wasn’t part of my major but it would have been incredibly valuable.
micro 101 is a decent distillation of basic models of markets a la the first (half? it's been a while) of MWG appropriate for early undergraduates

I don't recall undergrad texts I saw being particularly straightforward about the fragile assumptions that make the models tick, but I only tutored the class, never took it
